P4 celebrated VE Day by holding a World War Two day in the school hall on Thursday.
We have been learning all about World War Two in class over the last few months and this was a great way to finish off our topic.
The Active Learning Company came to Castle Gardens and it was absolutely brilliant!
The children had the opportunity to dress up in military uniforms and clothes from that era.
They carried out investigations with artefacts and played with wartime toys.
They did some code breaking and crawled through tunnels like real soldiers.
In the afternoon, they made medals and took part in a drill exercise. Well done to Caleb, who was the last man standing in the drill exercise and led the march back to the classroom as our new Sergeant Major!
A great time was had by all.
