Week 4 and 5 bio diversity programme

9th Feb 2017

The P7 children have been busy clearing invasive plant species and understanding why these are being removed and the need to conserve the red squirrel habitat.  We have planted saplings of scots pine for the new entrance of Mount Stewart.  This new entrance of Mount Stewart will be opened to the public in the next 4/5 years and the trees that the children planted will be on show along the drive way.  We are leaving a legacy behind and hope that in years to come we can watch our trees growing.
