Primary 5: Discovering Digital Skills with the Micro:bit
Primary 5 pupils have dived into the exciting world of coding as part of our ICT curriculum!
This afternoon, our first group of digital pioneers successfully programmed their own creations onto the BBC micro:bit. These pocket-sized devices are essentially miniature computers that children can code to perform a variety of fascinating functions.
It was a truly fantastic session filled with learning, exploration, and a lot of problem-solving. The creativity on display was brilliant! Some of the successful projects included:
-
Coding various emojis 🤩
-
Programming their names to flash and scroll
-
And, a particular favourite, creating an interactive "6-7" display!
The children are already looking forward to their next challenge in digital technology!
