Penpals from Uganda

This year we were very lucky to have a wonderful student teacher from Stranmillis on placement with our class.  Miss Hamilton spent five weeks teaching us and then completed her placement in a school in Uganda. Before she left we wrote letters to the children that would be in her P6 class in Truth Primary School.  Miss Hamilton took the letters to her new class (all 70 children!!) and then came back to visit us with their replies.  We were very excited to read about our new friends and to see the photographs that Miss Hamilton had taken during her time there.  We have now written replies and they are going to be sent back over with a Team that are leaving in June to go back to Kampala.  We would like to thank Miss Hamilton and wish her well as she leaves Northern Ireland to teach Primary 6 in a school in Uganda later this year.
