Parent Survey 2026 Parent SurveyEvery year in May we run a parent survey that allows you to have your say in the running of our school This year's survey can be accessed via the following link which will be open until Friday of next week, the 22nd May @ noon. This is a really important process, and this year includes feedback on uniforms and homework. If you have a few minutes, it'd be greatly appreciated if you could complete this. Parking In and Around School

7th Feb 2024

Can I ask all parents and guardians who drive through the gates to drop off or to collect observe the rules of the road that apply on the other side of our school gates.
Driving the correct way around a roundabout, not using disabled parking spots without the correct permission displayed and blocking other users are evident several times each week.

During interview week the roads around school are very busy. Please do not obstruct driveways of local residents, parking legally and considerately.

Thank-you for your co-operation and please share the following information with anyone collecting your children from our school to make sure everyone is kept safe.

Things to Avoid

Do not park on footpaths in the school grounds
Do not leave your car when using the drop off area in the morning, this causes queues and congestion
Do not leave your car in the car park if it is not in a space, this blocks other users and causes congestion.
Do not squeeze in between cones, this area is designated for EA transport. We can use this as an overflow for cars with blue badges if required but cars cannot be left unattended to collect children.

How do we help if you can't get parked?

Pupils will always wait with their teacher until their adult arrives to collect them, unless your child is in P5 to P7 and you have given permission for them to walk up the hill to meet someone or to walk home.
Phone the office to let us know you are running late, this helps avoid a little one worrying. Dojo messages won't be picked up as the staff are really busy at home time making sure the children are organised and go with the right adult
If no-one has appeared and everyone else has been collected, the teacher will walk with the children to the front of school and wait with them until you arrive.
If no-one arrives within 10 minutes and we haven't heard from you, Mrs McCluskie will give the first named contact a call and your child will wait in the office until you arrive.

We are very fortunate to be able to offer the car park for use. As our numbers increase congestion increases so please help keep drop off and collection as safe as possible.
