P7 learn about Fast Fashion

On Thursday morning P7 had a visit from Keep NI Beautiful. This was a new workshop for Castle Gardens and P7 thoroughly enjoyed learning all about Fast Fashion. They considered how often they wear all the items in their wardrobe and how we all probably have far too many clothes than what we actually need! They looked at some of the worst offending companies which produce low-quality, cheap clothing and heard about how child labour is used in the production of so much of this clothing. Some of the following photos highlight the impact of Fast Fashion on the planet with so much transportation involved and also of the impact on nature and our water supplies. It certainly has made us all think about how we shop and what we can do to help e.g. uniform swap at school/christmas jumper swap.
