Mrs Hutchinson's class visited Castle Ward on Tuesday 31st January. The children went with their evacuee labels and their gas masks! We followed the 'Pack Up Your Troubles' education programme provided by the staff at Castle Ward. We learnt all about evacuees, rationing, wartime songs, old playrooms, land girls, wardens, blackouts, soldiers' uniforms and much, much more! What a super day which has really backed up our in class learning all about WW2.
