Parent Survey 2026 Parent SurveyEvery year in May we run a parent survey that allows you to have your say in the running of our school This year's survey can be accessed via the following link which will be open until Friday of next week, the 22nd May @ noon. This is a really important process, and this year includes feedback on uniforms and homework. If you have a few minutes, it'd be greatly appreciated if you could complete this. P4 Ice Experiment

10th Jun 2018

To support their learning of the Titanic the P4 children worked with ice this week. By pouring water into containers the children learnt that water, when frozen, takes on the shape of its container and that water expands as it freezes. To FEEL what it was like for some Titanic passengers who ended up in the freezing cold water the pupils placed their hands in freezing water for one minute. They then timed themselves building a Lego model. We quickly realised our fingers didn't work so well!! The following day the children re-timed themselves building the same Lego model and since our hands weren't freezing this time we were much quicker! A lot of practical learning this week and many discussions on the effects of freezing water on our body. Well done P4 - great enthusiasm for learning this week :)
