Our children engaged in a practical and creative learning experience by making their own playdough. This activity supported key Foundation Stage learning outcomes, including developing early mathematical concepts through measuring ingredients, following a sequence of steps, and exploring changes in materials. Once the playdough was ready, the children investigated the concept of size by comparing small and large shapes they created. This hands-on approach promotes fine motor development, reinforces mathematical language, and encourages problem-solving in a meaningful and enjoyable way. Oh what fun we had!
