Our Trip to Bangor Castle and Museum
On Wednesday 22nd April the children from our speech classes visited Bangor Castle and Museum. This trip reinforced our 'Night at the Museum' topic we had been studying just before Easter. The children enjoyed travelling into the past and learning all about how people used to live long ago.
We then visited the surrounding woodland on a very exciting bug hunt! This helped to introduce our next topic 'Minibeasts' which we will be studying this half-term. After lunch Mrs Wilson took her class to the park for some great fun whilst Mrs Hutchinson's class visited the Walled Garden. We had a wonderful day in the sunshine with lots of learning opportunities.
On Thursday we took advantage of the good weather and visited the field beside school. We took our special magnifying glasses with us and found some ladybirds, caterpillars and worms.
What a great week we've had!
