Today, we were visited by Julie from SUSTRANS / Walk Wheel Cycle Trust who delivered a Junior Doctor Bike Session.
Children were able to bring their bicycles into school to have them checked over from the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust team before learning about the different parts of the bike and how they work. Julie showed children how to check their brakes and ensure their tyres had sufficient air in them.
We're really grateful to Julie for her time and the children really enjoyed the session. Just last month, Primary 6 pupils wrote an explanation text on how a bicycle works so it was lovely to refresh this knowledge and put the learning into action!
