It is Christmas Jumper Day in Castle Gardens meaning all pupils can wear their usual uniform and a Christmas Jumper as we support the annual Save the Children appeal.
The P3 & P4 children have their Christmas Assembly at 9.30am and once this is finished the children will be taking part in the Santa Run after 11am. This is an event organised by The Daily Mile Network Northern Ireland to encourage children and all people to participate in The Daily Mile and raise awareness of the positive impact being active can have on children’s mental health and wellbeing. Suggested donations of £2 can be sent to school with pupils on Friday.
Friday is also the penultimate day for donations to the Christmas Toy Appeal that we support annually. This year donations will be shared between the Bowtown Residents Association, the Salvation Army and the Elf HQ @ the Warehouse up to and including Monday 8th December.
An incredibly busy day, with more requests on parents. I appreciate there are a number of pressures on parents at this time of year, any support you can offer for the campaigns of Save the Children, the Bowtown Residents Association, The Salvation Army and the Warehouse will be greatly appreciated.
