Ditch the Dark Day - This Friday

As part of our work alongside the active travel charity Sustrans, we will be holding a Ditch the Dark day on Friday 19th October (this Friday).

This will be a part of on-going drive to encourage pupils to walk, scoot or cycle to school and follows on from our walking bus on earlier this month which proved so popular.

To raise awareness of the safe travel as we move into autumn and winter we are encouraging children to come to school on Friday dressed in bright, colourful and even reflective clothing.

This out of uniform day will be no charge and all pupils, even if they come to school by car, bus or taxi are encouraged to take part. A letter will be sent home tomorrow from Mr Adair with a bit more information about what we are doing on Friday including a whole school assembly with Claire Lundy, our Sustrans school officer.

Parents are more than welcome to wear their brightest outfits on Friday morning as well!!!!
