Chest, Heart & Stroke visit P7

On Thursday morning P7 enjoyed a visit from NI Chest, Heart & Stroke Association. The talk centred around nicotine, addiction and how smoking and vaping affects you. This timely talk provoked lots of questions and discussions, which may well be continued at home! Pupils were given information about the danger of addictions and listened to videos from some young people in NI who have been affected by vaping. Lots of relevant, up-to- date advice was given to the pupils, with the main advice being not to start vaping! As our P7 pupils prepare for life at post-primary, it is important for them to think ahead and make sensible decisions, based on good solid research and experience of professionals in this field.
