Castle Gardens Ditch the Dark

On Friday 19th October, pupils from Castle Gardens participated in a Ditch the Dark day. Pupils were encouraged to walk, scoot or cycle to school wearing bright, colourful and even reflective clothing. This will be a part of on-going drive to raise awareness of the safe travel as we move into autumn and winter.

Our Sustrans support officer Claire Lundy took an assembly and awarded prizes to each individuals who made a special effort on the day as well as though who walk, cycle or scoot to school every day. Claire also took activities throughout the morning, which included quizzes and playground orienteering with a Ditch the Dark theme.
