Open Morning Castle Gardens Primary School and Pre-school will be hosting an Open Morning on Saturday 10th January from 10am to 1130am. This is an opportunity for families to come along who were unable to attend our Open Afternoon in December, or indeed due to Storm Bram were unable to view our extensive school grounds. Join us on our Open Morning and connect with staff, governors, parents, and pupils and discover how our extended wraparound care, enriching extra-curricular activities, and outstanding academic results have made Castle Gardens P.S. the fastest-growing school in Newtownards. Primary 3

Welcome to the Primary 3 page!

Throughout the year the children shall learn lots of new and interesting things. They shall learn through both work and play. There will be opportunities to go on a school trip to Exploris and welcome 'Wee Critters' into the school for a visit.

We'll be focusing on phonics, writing, reading and grammar in Literacy and money, shape, numbers to 100 and telling the time in Numeracy. We have lots of exciting World Around Us topics in P3 including, The Rainforest, Houses and Homes, Cold Lands and Amazing Oceans. The boys and girls will have lots of opportunities to complete STEM activities, outdoor learning and building team work skills in the classroom.
