Christmas Hampers
Over the next week we are putting together Christmas hampers. These hampers are a great way of raising money for school equipment. There will be three hampers in total. One hamper will be raffled off to P1, P2 and our speech classes. One hamper will be raffled off to P3 and P4 classes and the final hamper will be raffled off to P5, P6 and P7 classes.
Families are asked to donate non-perishable food items or gifts for hampers. Items should be brought into their class teacher on or before Wednesday 2nd December. Items will be quarantined in school before being arranged into sealed hampers.
As with everything else these days, we have to look for solutions that will allow us to complete this in a covid-safe manner. In order to avoid the traditional methods that involve raffle tickets, a bucket of cash and someone putting their hand into a bucket full of paper we need to use a bit of technology.
This is how we plan to run things:
Tickets – purchase as many as you like on Eduspot priced £1 per ticket.
Ticket sales will close on Wednesday 9th December @ 12pm
Draw will take place on Friday 11th December using a https://wheelofnames.com/ and who know this could even be livestreamed or something!
We don’t want to have to allocate items given the different pressures and restrictions households are dealing with and pressures on getting to shops to buy an unnecessary item.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide items from the list below, if you wished to provide items for all three hampers that would be even better:
Sweet treats – items such as mince pies, chocolates or sweets
Drinks –items such as wine, Shloer, Soft drinks
Snacks – items such as crisps, crackers, biscuits
Other food items such as jams, chutneys, cranberry sauce or tinned items
We could also include Christmas themed Arts and Crafts items as well as vouchers for your business. Information about your business can also be shared and linked from our social media sites.
These hampers really could be a fantastic way to end 2020 and the more support the receive the better they will be.
Thank-you in advance for your support.
