Anti-Bullying
Primary 6 have been working through the PDMU unit "Who am I?" and as part of that we have been discovering that we have many similarities, differences, talents and skills which make us unique. We have spent time looking at Bullying, the effects of bullying and most importantly how to stand up against bullying. We have enjoyed class and group discussions, looking at websites and watching clips online. The most enjoyable task for the children was a practical activity using toothpaste. Each group had to squeeze the entire contents out of a tube of toothpaste and then work together with cocktail sticks to try and put it all back into the tube again. The children learned a very valuable lesson, the toothpaste is like our words and actions - once used they are very difficult to take back.
